Navajo artist Gilbert Tom was a student of the famous Harry Morgan, now deceased. Tom lives in Gallup, New Mexico and now has his own students including Donovan Skeets another well known Navajo silversmith. Tom has been known for years for his traditional stamped silver and classic Navajo designs. As so many Native American tribes do, Tom is now passing down the knowledge he has developed to others so the tradition will live on even as Harry Morgan's work lives on through the knowledge he taught Gilbert.

The stone in this beautiful bracelet is from the Turquoise Mountain mine near Kingman Arizona. The mine was closed in the 1980's but produced a wonderful light to high blue turquoise with a golden to copper matrices.
