Darren learned his silversmith trade at the age of 13 from his father who was an accomplished silversmith himself. His trademark is his use of heavy gauged sterling and the expert craftsmanship of the traditional Navajo style his father had taught him. This bracelet features layers of sterling and a multitude of design features which include beaded rope, beautiful draping blossoms, fans and rising sun just to mention a few.
For the stone Darren has used an outstanding piece of Lone Mountain turquoise. Lone Mountain produces both a clear and spider web turquoise with the spider web being very rare and highly sought after.
Spider web turquoise is always the most sought after and Lone Mountain stands apart with its unique copper brown color matrices instead of the black spider web which is what most of the mines that produce a spider web has.
