This necklace is defiantly a two in one with necklace being just as beautiful without the pendent as it is with.
Once again we were able to use some of the Coral beads we acquired from a trader out west who has been dealing in coral for over 40 years.. The coral used to make these beads came from the South China Sea and are just outstanding in color with swirls of reds ranging from fire red to deep red accented with whiffs of gold. The beads ranging from 4mm at the top to 10mm at the bottom. We paired these beauties with jet black onyx beads and accented with stamped sterling silver beads.
The beautiful micro inlay bear pendent was made by Navajo artist Ray Jack. Ray has made a name for himself with his spectacular inlay designs. The tiny detail and keen use of color sets his designs apart from many of his peers.
The pendent features a micro inlay bear using onyx as the background and inlaying it with turquoise, coral, mother of pearl, malachite and tiny drilled holes filled with sterling silver. The piece is finished with a sterling bezel with twist rope, stamp work and droplets near the foot. Finally it hangs from a large sterling bail set with a onyx droplet.
