This wonderful sterling ring was made by the same artist that made the Royston bracelet I listed the other day and the two would make a beautiful set. Once again the artist has paired outstanding silver work with a beautiful stone. This time the artist used Sleeping Beauty turquoise out of Globe, Arizona and paired it with finely crafted sterling button and fan designs.
I have not been able to positively identify the maker of this piece but I believe it was made by Randy Boyd out of Gallup New Mexico. This mark is not found in my identification guides but I do know that Randy made jewelry back in the 70's and 80's and then stopped for quite a few years. Recently he has begun to make jewelry again and signs his pieces R Boyd, however I believe this might be a piece for his earlier years and is signed with a backward R and B. The silver work is quite similar, but I can not say for sure..
This truly is a beautiful piece and will make a wonderful addition to any Native American collection.
