These elegant glasses were one of Fostoria's top lines, in fact the June 1939 Better Homes and Garden magazines talks about the "Master Etchings" of this pattern. Because of their popularity Fostoria made these beauties from 1938-1970. The pattern is called Willowmere and features an elegant ball and feathered stem with a twisting wild rose etching.
This lovely set is the sherbet or low cocktail glasses. Each glass is free of any nicks, chips or cracks. There glasses would have been mouth blown and they etched. One of the glasses has a tiny white speck inside the glass, this would have happen during the blowing process. Please see picture 5 for details.
Each glass stands 4 1/2" high and holds 5 ounces at the rim.
Please see our other listings for the Water/Large Wine and the Champagne/Champagne Cocktail Glasses in this pattern.
