Signed First Edition"When I Was A Young Man"Bob Kerrey
First Edition Signed by the author Bob Kerrey. This is number 908 of only 1,150 limited edition copies.
In this memoir, former Senator Kerrey recalls his youth in Nebraska and his military service. While a Navy SEAL in Vietnam, Kerrey was involved in a firefight that resulted in civilian deaths. When that experience was reported in the press decades later, it reopened the debates about that war. Kerrey was also wounded in the war, and received the Congressional Medal of Honor. As he writes here, he was not the same person afterwards.
Contains all of the classic Easton Press trimmings: premium leather, silk moiré end leaves, distinctive cover design, raised bands, accented in real 22KT gold, satin ribbon page marker, gilded page edges, long-lasting, high quality acid-neutral paper, sewn pages for strength and durability. It also comes with original COA to guarantee signature authenticity and documentation.
This book is in Fine Condition with slight scuffing on the gilt edges and appears to have never been read. It has a beautiful, tight, clean copy with no names, dates, notations. But the former owner has attached the book plate but it is not signed. (The only time we list a First Addition Book as Excellent Condition is if it is still in its plastic wrap and never been opened.)
