Set of 6 Fostoria's Buttercup Water/Large Wine Goblets ca 1941-1959
In the late 1930's Hollywood made the word "Buttercup" a term of endearment so this little cupped flower became a natural choice for Fostoria's bridal crystal which made it debut in 1941 and continued to be a leading line for almost 20 years which is a testament to its popularity.
Fostoria Tableware "The Crystal for America" Book gives 5 pages to this beautiful crystal pattern.
The pattern features an intricately etched floral or buttercup design and is finished with a Roman pillar stem complete with ionic caps.
Each glass in this 4 piece set is in "Excellent Condition". The goblet stands an elegant 4 3/4" tall by 3 1/2" across the top and holds 4 ounces to the rim.
The price is for the set of 4.
