This lovely set of crystal glasses were some of the last patterns to be produced by the joint efforts of Libbey Glass and Cataract Sharpe. From the late 1920's to slightly after WWII the American marketplace was introduced to a lovely line of hand crafted glassware produced between the joining of Libbey Glass and Cataract Sharpe. Libbey had been producing exquisite crystal glasses for years and Cataract Sharpe was a high quality engraving company producing intricate crystal patterns. The merging of these two companies produced what is known as Libbey/Rock Sharpe Crystal which has become highly collectable for quite some time. This set of glasses is called Crystal Garland and features a cut floral garland pattern with stem # 3002 which uses 4 ionic capped pillars to create this lovely stem. This pattern was a very popular wedding gift in the late 1940's up until the time Libbey stopped producing them in 1950.
