This lovely Marigold Smooth Rays bowl was first made by Westmoreland in 1910 as part of their special iridescent line. A number of glass companies made some version of this pattern including Dugan, Northwood and Imperial and Fenton made a version and stippled it and called it Stippled Rays.
The pattern is simple with a thin point of each ray meeting in the center of the bowl and becoming broader as it reaches the edge of the bowl with a scallop connecting each ray.
Our bowl is in excellent condition with only one small straw mark near the collar of the bowl, because of the "smoothness" of the pattern you can see the strawmark on both sides however it is harder to see on the inside than it is on the outside. See pictures for details.
