This wonderful Navajo made ring has been done in a style called Corn Row Inlay. This type of inlay where the each stone has been cut and beveled and then inlayed into a piece of jewelry is very difficult and the smaller the pieces the hard they are to do.
This ring has 8 stones set in a 1 3/8 by 1 area. The stone the craftsman used are turquoise, jet, coral, mother of pearl and abalone. The ring itself has a heavy cast shank that has been hand stamped on each side and decorated with a piece of sterling twist wire.
