Vintage Etched Glasses by Imperial in Simplicity PatternVintage Etched Glasses by Imperial in Simplicity Pattern

These glasses were made by Imperial Glass of Ohio in a pattern they called Simplicity. Imperial made these glasses in a clear not trim as this one is or with a gold or platinum trim. Imperial never etched this style themselves but it was very chic in the 40s and 50s to purchase stemware and have a private company etch them.

This Liquor/ Cocktail glass have a bulbous stem with a simple pattern etched into the bowl. The pattern consists pattern of 2 deep gray etched cuts with 5 ultra thin lines as extending above and below the deep cuts giving the appearance of shooting rays. These ultra thin lines very slightly in length; attesting to the fact they have been hand cut.

Each glass in this set is in excellent condition without any nicks, chips or cracks and measures 3 7/8 tall by 2 ¾ in diameter.
