Here are SEVEN corn-on-the-cob holder picks - another "family heirloom" from my mother's estate. These date from the 1950s when plastic gizmos were all the rage. They are made of bright, sunny yellow solid plastic. Each has two steel prongs to stab into the end of a corn cob and hold it securely.
My family loved sweet corn, and Mother got these so we kids could at least pretend to be civilized and manage the cobs with utensils, instead of grabbing them with our hands. (Besides, the cobs were very hot to try to hold with fingers!)
CONDITION is used but very good with NO stains, cracks or splits and no broken or missing pieces. The prongs are straight and as tightly affixed into the plastic handles as ever -- none are loose. There are some expected light surface marks from use, but you must use a magnifying glass to really notice. These haven't been used for at least 50 years.
A neat item for any "corn" or plastic table utensils collection.
