This almost-straight-sided drinking glass from the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Railroad is confirmed in "Sparkling Crystal: A Collector's Guide to Railroad Glassware" (Larry Paul) who calls this GM&O-GW-3, a "No. 57 straight-sided split," and states his belief that this type of tumbler was ordered toward the end of passenger service by the GM&O.
SIZE is approximately 4 inches tall, 2-1/4 inches across the top and just over 2 inches across the bottom. This glass has a strong scrolling letter "L" embossed on the bottom, marking it as quality "No-Nik" Libbey glassware.
The GMO's winged logo in white enamel cresting decorates the side. The cresting is lovely with no chips or flakes, or discoloration.
This glass is in superb condition, bright and crystal clear, with no scuffing or cloudiness.
