As close to "Mint" condition as an out-of-the-box piece of dinnerware can be, this " straight sided custard cup" is looking for a home with someone who appreciates Hall China mid-century kitchenware.
Decorated with three tiny pink and blue bouquets, this cup is absolutely perfect with no cracks, chips, flakes or repairs. Even its brilliant gold rim band appears to be perfect. We cannot find any signs of use. There "might" be a very few tiny surface marks but you must use a magnifying glass to see them. The bottom marking Hall's Superior Quality Kitchenware is correct and legible documenting its authenticity.
Don't make custard any more ? The versatile, classic shape is perfect for other uses, limited only by your imagination: filled with tiny guest soaps in the powder room; holding a tiny potted plant; an open sugar bowl; offering nuts or mints at a party....
SIZE is 3.5 inches across and just over 2 inches tall. It holds about 6 ounces comfortably.
"Wildfire" was a popular mid-century pattern made by the Hall China Company. It was used by the Great American Tea Company as a shoppers' premium in the 1940s and 1950s. At least two dozen different piece shapes are available and hunted for by collectors.
