This teeny-tiny is an early Hagen-Renaker china rendition of Scooter, the little boy puppy who came along at the end of the Disney movie, Lady and The Tramp. Isn't he cute, bouncing around like puppies do!
CONDITION is as close to perfect as you can find these with NO cracks, chips, flakes or repairs, good strong color and shiny glaze.
NOTE: The "white" under his feet appears to be from when he was originally sold, the adhesive or remnants of the card stock Hagen-Renaker was using to mount their figurines.
Disney dog fans will recall that at the end of the movie, American Cocker Spaniel Lady and her mongrel dog hero Tramp have a family of their own: Three puppies who looked just like Lady - named Fluffy, Ruffy and Scooter; and an impish little guy named Scamp, who looked just like Tramp. In the original version, Scooter was a boy.
"Lady and The Tramp" is one of the most beloved of Disney productions, and a sweet love story that never gets old. It was a 1955 American animated romantic musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney and released to theaters on June 22, 1955.
