We can find NOTHING wrong with this wonderful tea pot~! It may have held tea once or twice, but we can find NO signs of use. A prior owner must have treasured it. If a not-new piece of china could be called "MINT" this is it. Even the spout is perfect !
This color is what Hall China called "Blue Turquoise" - delightful pastel baby blue with just a touch of greenish, to make it more of an aquamarine or light teal. The gold trim is FLAWLESS, brilliant, mirror-bright gold with no chips or flakes or rubbing.AND incredibly, there is no gold wear on the very tip of the finial on the top of the lid! SEE PICTURES PLEASE!
It has a round lid opening, which means that it can be used with or without an infusor.
Made by the Hall China Company sometime between 1930 and the early 1970s, our teapot is correctly bottom marked. On the underside, it has the round HALL MADE IN USA mark identified in our Whitmyer guide to Hall China, along with the 0665R 6 cup mark in gold identifying the piece, its color and its capacity.
What else can we say? This would be a welcome shelf piece, or wonderful as a gift. All that is missing is its original box!
