This adorable little whistling tea kettle is a Revereware Copper-Clad stainless steel miniature made in the 1950s-1960s era. With its pot a tiny 4 inches across it is absolutely adorable, a nearly exact replica of the full size tea kettles. It is in lovely condition -- if you have been looking for one, look no further!
The Miniature Revere Ware line, first produced in 1955, was an extremely clever advertising campaign with a goal of capturing future customers -- the little girls who would grow up wanting cookware "Just Like Mother's." The perfectly scaled down pieces were not toys -- they were working cookware, marketed to the “Little Homemakers” who would learn to cook right alongside the full-sized “Kitchen Jewel” sets their mothers used.
CONDITION: This little pot shows some very light use, but is complete with NO broken or missing parts (the little plastic lid lifter is often missing). The handle is fastened on tightly. There are very light surface rubs and scuffs, inevitable on mirror bright stainless steel. There are NO dents or scratches. Look at our pictures -- it reflects everything!
The copper clad bottom is in excellent condition with a few dark areas from use and NO warps, cracks or splits. The Paul Revere silhouette Revere Ware bottom mark is sharp and clear.
I did not try it, but I would bet it will whistle if I boiled water in it ....... !
