We have NEVER had a miniature coffee pot in such wonderful condition - this one appears to have NEVER been used. It has a mid-century Aluminum body with fluted sides and is COMPLETE with a glass top, and a stem and grounds basket inside. The attached handle is wood, painted cherry red. Based on the style and materials, we believe it dates from the 1930s-1940s.
This little pot could actually be used -- but it looks like it has been a cherished shelf piece.
SIZE: It will make one cup of coffee. It holds 6 ounces of water comfortably.
CONDITION: Almost pristine - beautifully clean inside and out. There are NO cracks or chips on the glass top (it even has its little tabs that hold it on the metal top. The stem and basket are pristine/unused. The wooden handle has NO cracks and the paint is perfect. The metal "strap" attaching the wood handle to the pot is darkened with age but riveted on TIGHT to the pot. The spout has no bumps, nicks or bends and its edge is straight. There are some dark marks on the very bottom but along with the flat spot there is nothing worse.
IMPORTANT re: Condition - The ONLY "damage" we can find is a flattish spot on the front bottom rim -- see our LAST PICTURE -- it is not readily noticed and really is NOT a "dent" but it is a flattish spot where the pot has been bumped.
If you are looking for one of these mini pots for a collection or gift - LOOK NO FURTHER !
