Tiny egg cups are hard to find and here is a beauty from the Union Pacific Railroad. This pattern is called Harriman Blue, which was made for the railway by the Maddock China company, both American and British, and also the Scammell China Company.
SIZE: Just under 2.5 inches tall.
On the underside there is no maker mark but there is a great example of the Union Pacific's Overland shield logo.
CONDITION is superb with NO chips, cracks, flakes or repairs. The base ware is bright white, beautifully setting off the varied shades of old fashioned blue scrolls. There are no yellowish spots or other signs of aging.
Harriman Blue was the standard pattern used by the UPRR both in its dining cars and in its eating houses.
This is a hard to find unusual pieces, that would be a star in any good collection of railroad dining car items.
