Mirror bright and brilliantly shiny, this adorable tiny coffee pot is all original, one of the Miniature Revere Ware (500 line) that debuted in 1955 and was produced until 1983 in more than one tiny size, targeted for the "little homemaker" who wanted to learn how to cook alongside Mother.
SIZE is only 3.25 inches tall.
CONDITION is superb, beautifully clean inside and out. The lid fits snugly. There are NO splits, scrapes, dents or surface damage. There are a very few, very light marks but nothing worse, and nothing that affects structure. Both the black handle and the lid knob are firmly attached, and are in fine condition with no scuffing, cracks or chips. The Revere Ware U.S.A. bottom mark that includes a silhouette of Paul Revere is clearly visible on the bottom. There are a few spots of discoloration on the surface of the copper bottom, but nothing worse, and the copper polishes up beautifully.
As time goes by, these tiny replicas are becoming increasingly hard to find, especially in good collecting condition.
BACKGROUND - In a brilliant advertising campaign, Revereware officials created a "little homemaker" tiny version of the full-size "Kitchen Jewel" copper clad sets sold for adult use. By appealing to little girls who wanted their own toy-size (but completely usable) utensils "just like Mother's," the company was creating brand loyal customers who would demand Revereware products over generations, as youngsters grew up and bought their own utensils. We are not sure how many were created, but sets were made in at least two different sizes.
