This lively little black-and-white spotted donkey is pulling a cute cart that was made as a planter. Made between 1945 and 1952, it is marked MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN on the underside.
Colorful and with lots of character, this could be used creatively for anything from a soap dish in the powder room, to a desktop paper clip/small item catchall, to holding a small potted herb plant on the kitchen windowsill.
Size is approximately 4 inches long. The "cart" is about 1-1/2 inches across the top.
CONDITION is terrific -- Nice and CLEAN with NO cracks, chips, flakes or repairs. The colors are strong and bright, and the glaze is strong.
