This terrific little cast iron skillet would fit right in with any nice collection of miniature kitchenware or advertising items. It is approximately 6 inches long, 4 inches across and 3.75 inches deep.
On the inside bottom in molded, raised letters it says SUPERFLAME ATLANTA surrounding a graphic depiction of what appears to be a gas burner flame. We believe this is from a gas, heating or oil company in Atlanta, Georgia but could not find any information on the internet.
On the back of the handle a number 6 is cast into the metal, almost certainly referencing the size -- 6 inches long.
CONDITION is excellent -- this is a quality casting in quality iron. The edges are smooth with only a few very light filing marks on the underside of the rim. There are NO breaks, cracks, splits or other metal problems and NO PITTING. The raised letters are crisp and clear -- quality workmanship. There is some very slightest surface-only rust that the computer makes appear worse than it is in real life -- mostly near the "A"s in "ATLANTA." We prefer not to clean or do anything to vintage metal, so we are offering it as found.
This little frying pan would benefit from an olive oil treatment and seasoning just like its big cousins, which would take care of the surface issues.
