The Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad is better known as the famous "Rock Island Line," which operated between 1852 and 1980 through 14 states in the American midwest. This key is a steel alloy, from its later years. It was made to work in a passenger coach or a caboose door lock.
This key is stamped CRIP on its round, flat bow. On the other side the name of its maker ADLAKE is molded in.
It is an impressive 4.25 inches long, in excellent condition with no metal damage. There are a few surface stains. There are no bends or twists. This is definitely a later key and may be New Old Stock.
