This is a beautiful example of dining car flatware from the New York Central Railroad. It is an iced tea or parfait spoon, fully 7-1/2 inches long.
The pattern name is "Century B," confirmed in "Silver At Your Service," the railway flatware guide by Dominy and Morgenfruh. "Century B" was used on the NYC's crack Twentieth Century Limited name trains.
On the underside, this spoon carries the NY over C mark at the end of the handle, and is further marked INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO. on the stem near the bowl.
CONDITION is lovely, with a beautiful patina and absolutely NO tarnish. There are very light surface marks from use but nothing worse. NO dents, twists or nicked edges. There is little to no plate loss on the underside of the bowl, where it rests on the table.
