This big heavy key from the Pennsylvania Railroad was made in the earliest 1900s. One just like it is shown in the Knous price guide.
This key is stamped PENNA CO on one side of its bow. On the other side is stamped serial number E5723, the letter "S" for switch and the Adams & Westlake company's oval logo, which was used circa 1900 - 1920.
Condition is extremely nice with good strong stamping, great color and some wear documenting use, but nothing more. The bit and barrel ends are nicely rounded away. There are a few surface dings, but no metal damage.
Every Pennsy key and lock collection should include one of these.
