Here is an extremely nice cup and saucer set from the Union Pacific Railroad. The pattern name is "Desert Flower" -- depicting a floral bloom, apparently a "Desert Rose," but I think it looks more like a "Christmas Rose" or Helleboros bloom. It is done in Syracuse China's wonderful shadow tone design, with an attractive green fading into creamy white.

Both pieces carry the correct Syracuse China bottom marking. The cup is date coded 93-L (December 1964) and the saucer is date coded 1-KK (January 1956).

The cup is also marked UNION PACIFIC R.R.

This is a full size set that would have been used on board for serving coffee or tea to dining car passengers.

CONDITION is extremely nice with NO cracks, chips, flakes or repairs. We can find only a very few surface marks form use.
