This oh-so-very deco shaker is a Vitrock type made by Anchor Hocking during the Depression era. In starkly contrasting black and crimson red on white milk glass, the artwork depicts four flower pots.
Size is approximately 4 inches tall by 2-1/4 inches wide, with attractive ribbing along each side.
This nice, clean old jar is in lovely condition with no damage to the fired-on color designs. There are no chips, cracks, flakes or repairs and it is a lovely display among any vintage kitchenware.
The unpainted tin lid is an older one, with light use showing and expected minimal bumps and dings from age. The threads work perfectly with the glass threads on the top of the jar.
This is such a nice example of this pattern. It would be terrific in any collection.
