This form of earring is getting harder and harder to find. Creole earrings were all the rage, especially in the US, during the 1850's. These earrings are of hollow construction and are completely handmade. They are 1 1/2 inches long by over 3/4 inch wide and have tiny genuine turquoise cab stones set at the bottom. The earrings are not marked but test positive for gold of between 10-12k and the gold has mellowed to a soft hue over time. They are in very nice condition and weigh 3.8 grams.
