I am always happy to find a Dog Collar, they are so rare, and one of my favourite forms of jewellery. This is meant to be worn high on the neck just like Queen Alexandra wore her famous necklace, purportedly to hide an unsightly birthmark. This one is made of a sterling center plaque and clasp with emerald and clear pastes. The faux pearls are 2.3mm and are in excellent condition. The necklace is tiny at just over 12 inches long by 11/16 wide. It is marked sterling at the back of the plaque and on the tongue of the clasp. In fine condition. C. 1925.
