This delight has been in my personal collection for many years. I love how high the garnet cabochons are! Visually it is such a statement piece. The bracelet is 7 1/4 inches long not including the tongue. It is made of garnet gold which is tombac and copper. A typical metal for this age of jewel. The plaques range in size from 24mm by 20mm to 31 mm by 29mm the center garnet is 20 mm by 17mm and is very tall at 9mm! One of the plaques has been replaced and the garnet is shallower than is opposite pair. There are 4 plaques on one side and three on the other side of the largest plaque so maybe this was an addition to make the bracelet bigger. No chips cracks or damage that I can see. Garnets are one of the preferred gems of the Victorian and this bracelet is the nicest I have seen in my 30 years of collecting. C. 1880 and Bohemian.
