This cuff is impressive on and off! It is 3 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches across and tapering down to 2 1/4 inches. It will fit most wrists. The workmanship is exquisite with applied curls, high domes and other designs that make it look almost ancient. Hours and hours went into the manufacture of this piece! It is hallmarked 800 for silver content and there is also a lozenge shaped cartouche with cut out sides. In it is the number 84, then there is a Fasces which is an ancient symbol (an ax bundled with birch sticks), then there is FI which according to my research stands for the Firenze Province Italy. This hallmark was used between 1934 and 1944. This was made during such a tumultuous time in Italian history. I would fathom a guess that not much jewellery was made during these years. The cuff weight 83.5 grams. Condition is good with normal wear.
