This is such an unusual bracelet. It is marked 9ct and also has some indistinguishable makers mark - a letter and then a dot and then a j in a lozenge cartouch. The bracelet is oval shaped and is 2 1/2 inches wide at its widest point. It has a side catch as well as a safety chain. The center has graduated hollow "cannon balls" that lead to a wonderfully decorated lady bug or lady bird as the English call it. The bug is decorated with red and black enamel and 6 tiny besel set diamonds of about 1 point each. Condition is good with minor denting in 2 places. The dents are very shallow and do not detract fro the piece at all. C. 1880 and English in origin.
