When I first acquired this necklace, I did not know about the artist Paul Warmind, I just loved the design, originality, workmanship and look. I have been doing extensive research on this piece and my gut that this is very special was telling the truth. This necklace is signed 206 Warmind Sterling Denmark and weighs 58.5 grams, so very substantial. Danish jeweler, Poul Warmind has been creating modernist jewelry for more than 50 years. He apprenticed with A. Dragsted, official jeweler to the Danish Royal Court. While I was able to find relatively newer pins, brooches, cuff links and rings of his work on line, I could only find a couple of sterling necklaces and none as original, old and amazing as this. The chain is marked sterling on the clasp and is about 23 inches long. The pendant with its attached bale is 2 1/4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide and about 1/3 of an inch deep. I believe this is an earlier piece from the late 1950, but I am still looking into this. The necklace is in very good condition and I am confident you will be very pleased with this rare and collectible .
