This is part of a small but powerful collection of vintage Chinese jewelry I acquired at auction. I have done some research and have consulted with jewelers, but I am not an expert of this. It has been confirmed that necklace is old, but I do not know the exact age. Nevertheless, this necklace is made with low grade silver beads, about 800, large egg yolk or butterscotch 1 1 /4 inch barrel amber, lapis, and adventurine quartz with a huge 2 inch round enamel pendant and three coins hanging under. It almost looks ceremonial to me. Each side of the coin is different, but I do not know what they say or mean. The necklace without the pendant is about 30 inches long and it is very heavy.
