This is rare Grand Parure from Trifari's Renaissance Collection in 1964 and is often called "stained glass" because of the way the light shines through the open-back glass cabochons. I have collected this collections' pieces for many years because it reminds me of French Gripoix glass and is also very wearable as it is collectable. I did not buy this set together, but is is rare to find all these pieces on sale together. All pieces are marked with the Crown Trifari.
There are two necklaces. One is all poured glass with bezel set glass cabochons. It is 24 delicious inches. The second necklace has the 1 1/3 inch ball with 20 glass pieces. The chain is 28 inches long so the intire necklace is about 30 inches long. The bracelet has two small ball like charms that dangle off. It is 7 inches, but you could clip it smaller. The ear clips are 1 inch around and are stunning with 11 pieces of glass. The brooch which can also be worn as a pendant is 2 inches around and has a lot of depth to it.
This is a wonderful high quality set with an antique like gold tone surrounding the stones and the chains. If you are familiar with this Collection, you are aware that the metal usually has various shades of wear on it and the same is true and seen on the pictures. So while all the stones are original and everything structurally is excellent, there is wear to the metal which is not even. This can not be seen when worn and again is common for this popular collection. I also have other pieces of this collection in my store.
