Huge Sterling Frederico Jimenez Monumental Heart Turquoise Necklace and Earrings
This amazing vintage set looks so fabulous when worn as a set or the necklace and earrings separate. This is a very heavy and substantial set made with beautiful large turquoise pieces and what I believe are fresh water pearls and sterling. The necklace is 20 inches long, but you can pull it up and have more hang in the back and it looks great that way also. My daughter is small and it looked and laid great on her. ( In fact, she did not want to take it off) The largest heart is 2 inches long and 1 1/2 inch wide. The matching earrings are 1 3/4 inches long and about 1 1/4 inch wide. Each heart is surrounded by tiny pearls that are carefully and individually set in the sterling. The beauty of this set can not be over described and I believe is also a great investment. It is in excellent condition with a few a the pearls being irregular, which may have been how it was made. This set will get you and everyone excited and really belongs in a fashion magazine or on a runway. You will not be disappointed.
Marked Sterling, the pieces are signed with a conjoined JF for the maker which is Frederico Jimenez. Known as "Frederico" he is known for his high quality, elegant designs. He was born in a small Mexican village and learned jewelry making from the Hopi, Zuni and Navajo silversmiths from the Southwest. He is a world renowned authority of Mexican, Pre-Colombian and Mixtec jewelry. His designs are seen on many famous, Hollywood and well known people around the world.
