This is not a Halloween postcard per se, but the only thing missing is the cat! Instead, to accompany the half-naked woman flying on the broom we see an owl, with moon, stars and a meteorite in the background. I think this is a real photo postcard (no dot pattern) but it has been printed on matte paper and of course, the background elements courtesy of the photography studio or created in the darkroom. The franking verso is not readable but based on the undivided back, we can determine it is 1903 or earlier. Mailed from Belgium to Paris. The sender wrote, "Friendly souvenir. Pretty country do you know?" Some wear on the corners and staining on the white border; no creases. Typical antique postcard size of about 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
