To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower in 1989, artists were invited to create postcard designs honoring Gustave and his iconic gridwork. The end result was a series of 37 postcards in a wide variety of styles, from rather subdued to quite humorous and some even downright outlandish. One of the rarer ones (of course!) and my favorite design: a giant woman with a little green airplane flying about her feet with a reproduction of a sepia postcard of the Eiffel behind her. Hint of wear on the corner tips, but overall for a vintage postcard, in near mint condition (especially considering the almost pristine white background). About 4x6 inches. Simply marked JNP 1988.
