L'Illustration was a weekly French newspaper/magazine published in Paris from 1843 to 1944. It often published special art editions. Here is a stunning print produced by L'Illustration ready to mat and frame, circa 1919, featuring "Young Girl in a Turban" by French artist William Laparra. Blank verso, this is a high quality print in overall excellent condition for its age. My brain doesn't comprehend the distinctions of printing methods, so I'm not sure if this a lithograph or not, but it's higher quality than the typical magazine art print with advertisements or texts on the back. (I dare say you could create a canvas print from this. I'd be happy to send you a hi-resolution digital scan.) The original painting hangs at the Musée de la Piscine (a former city swimming pool building) in Roubaix, France. Laparra was born in Bordeaux in 1873. His father was Spanish and in his later years, Laparra settled in Hecho, Spain, near the French border, where he died in 1920. Several of Laparra's paintings feature turbaned women (influence of Orientalism?) and this one is my favorite. You'll notice the upturned right bottom corner? That's from the flimsy mail packaging across the Atlantic. You can be assured that I will pack this art print with extra protection and by the time you receive it, that corner will likely lay flat again:) The picture itself is about 8.5 by 10.5 inches. The full page measures 10.5 by 14.5 inches. I've included a direct scan (better color accuracy) as well as photos (to show details and quality; nothing to hide:)
