I've listed this postcard in the romantic category because in France fish are considered as such! It's a 'thing' on April 1st for secret admirers to send postcards with fish as messengers of love. It's French culture at its strangest! This postcard is a standout example from the usual April 1 designs. This fish covers most of the postcard. It's an additional layer of paper that has a rough felt (dare I say "scaley") overlay, creating the details of the fish. This fish is extra special with the gold "souvenir" message in his mouth. Remember who loves you. I think that's the message here. This card is unused. I can't date it precisely other than to say it's vintage. I'm guessing it is from 1930s or so? The front of the card is in mint condition; the back has stains. About 5.5 by 3.5 inches.
