Here are three of seven postcards I have available in this "Frimousses de Paris" series. These three all feature young beauties with parasols. The other four as seen in the last photo are listed separately. Continental size: about 4-1/8 by 5.75 inches. Some foxing verso but overall for their age, in fine vintage condition. Unused. Circa 1950s.
These cards are not signed, but based on the others in the series that are, these are by Maurice Alleroux, a recognized artist but sadly only described as "French mid-20th century."
Pierre Yves Petit (1886–1969), better known simply as Yvon took up photography in 1916 and in three years he began publishing postcards of his images under the trade name Edition d’Art Yvon. Yvon postcards are still popular and still printed in Paris to this day!
