Neither the direct scan nor the photo taken at the window under natural daylight do justice to this lithographic postcard printed by the renown Stengel company of Germany. There is a scratch on the card and there are some specks top center, but what makes this card such a standout despite any blemishes is the rich, saturated color. Unfortunately, even tweaking in Photoshop I couldn't reproduce the colors without distorting another area of the card. there's deep red, dark green/black, red-brown, several shades of blue. A quality card that once in hand you'll feel the craftsmanship that made Stengel cards so popular. Mailed to Julia in Paris in 1906! Typical antique postcard size of about 5.5 by 3.5 inches.
