"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." Wouldn't this be a unique card to accompany a wedding gift? It's old (Art Deco, circa 1920s or '30s) and it's definitely blue. Several shades of blue, in fact. I've included a direct scan as well as photos taken under lamp light and under natural daylight at a window. It's difficult to capture the exact tones and vibrancy of colors, especially when highlighted with metallic silver paint. But between all the pictures provided, you get an idea of what a romantic and beautiful postcard this is. Interestingly, it was sent in honor of Saint Catherine, the patron saint of unmarried women. But from the sizzle in the kiss, we can be sure a wedding is in this girl's future:) Verso, the sender wishes Gabrielle a good fete on this Saint Catherine day and then adds, "Devinez," French for "guess who." About 3.5 by 5.5 inches. A few errant specks, but overall, in fine vintage condition.
