Here's a glamourous duo with glitz! The postcard of the woman and boy is a most unusual embossed metallic paper (or perhaps another way to describe it is "pearlized" paper?) German printed and mailed in the Netherland; postmarked 1903. To show off this card to really highlight its beauty, I'm thinking matted and framed with non-glare glass, set under a table lamp. What do you think? As you can see in the photos I took under a lamp and by natural window daylight, it can really dazzle! The Bonne Fete greeting on the purple card is almost hidden in the design, but it's the two girls with their "gold" hair that steals the show anyway. A couple of specks on the face of the girl on the right. Mailed to Marseille in 1906. Both cards are typical antique postcard size, about 3.5 by 5.5 inches. For their age, both in overall fine condition.
