These two postcards were sent in 1939 and 1940 from Egypt to England. Almost 80 years later, and these cards are still racking up the travel miles because I got them in France! "Cherry" said she was sending a set of 6 cards, which she got at Port Said. You'll have to settle for two:) Cherry also included some "snaps" of her travels and laments that one of her photos of a ship was "spoilt in the developing." The fronts of the postcards bear some errant specks. The card of Amon-Ra has a couple of light creases to his left. Now, holding the card in the light of a lamp and at an angle, you'll find a crease more feelable than seeable in the center of the card as well as a surface scratch. Nonetheless, overall, these cards are quite clean and well preserved for their age. Beautiful saturated colors. (If not dated, I would have thought these were current postcards from Luxor in Las Vegas!) Deckled edges. About 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
