This is an advertisement page out of a vintage French magazine. The Chanel ad on one side sadly has many distracting specks printed within the paper, but the piece de resistance is the full color Boucheron ad on the other side. The illustration is artist signed but I can't read it. Looking at this exotic beauty, I immediately thought she was an Indian woman and then second guessed myself: Italian or Spanish, perhaps? However, I think she might indeed an Indian beauty, a nod to one of Boucheron's famous customers: In 1928, the Maharaja of Patiala asked Boucheron to set stones in a piece of royal jewelry, which were brought to the Place Vendôme boutique by the prince himself!
I was told that this Plaisir de France magazine page is from 1950; the French dealer notated in pencil. The page is about 12.5 by 9.5 inches. Staple holes, minor signs of wear. But overall: impressive vintage condition. I've included a photo as well as a scan attempting to accurately show the colors. Whatever shades you're seeing on your monitor, I feel confident in saying you'll be pleased with this Boucheron Beauty.
Please note: this is one of TWO Boucheron ads I have available. The other is listed here:
