This is one of several antique framing patterns I have available, which were used to produce photo postcards or photo montages with an art nouveau background at the turn of the century. Offered by a German company, these were called "artist postcard vignettes." In the last photo, you'll see an example of a photo postcard using a "vignette" similar to these. The pattern is postcard size, of course (about 5.5 by 3.5 inches) but the paper is thinner, not cardstock. There are two sheets: the pattern design and the masking sheet. In overall fine antique condition. To be honest, I'm not sure how one would use these today to actually print with them. I know that digitally they would be very fun to work with. In the fourth photo, you'll see a digital scan of this pattern that has been "inverted." The colors can be changed and hours of creative fun can be had! As is, in the stark 'negative' format, I can imagine these designs used as bold, eye-catching backdrops to display jewels ... or photos!
Please note that this listing is for one "frame," the art nouveau lady with the tambourine. If you're interested in any of the others or would like the complete set of 6, let me know. [BUY MORE, Save More discounts will be applied!] When I have multiples of something, I like to see if there's any interest in the items first before I fill up my store with many listings of the (almost) same thing:)
