This is one of two Mauzan postcards I have featuring an irresistible cupid and 1920s lady. In this one, they are sharing a bonding moment and the cupid has the most adorable smile! This card is unused, printed in Italy. About 3.5 by 5.5 inches and at first glance, in near mint condition. There is a light crease at the bottom about middle ways up her skirt. It is more feelable than seeable on the front. Verso, you can see it, but it doesn't show up on the scan. It doesn't detract from the card at all.
Based on biographical information, I'd date this card to no later than 1927, when Mauzan moved to Argentina, where his reputation is renown. His career is most interesting and I highly recommend you read about him on Wikipedia. Achille Lucien Mauzan was born in France (1883) but moved to Italy in 1905 and was extremely prolific designing posters and postcards. Although his career took him from one side of the globe to the other, including time in Paris, he eventually returned to his hometown of Gap, France, where he died in 1952.
