Here is another French artist I've been wanting to introduce you to. While my specialty is antique French postcards, I can't ignore contemporary French artists who contribute to the art and revival of postcards! And I love this little guy with 'stamp eyes'! This card is unused but my understanding is that it was printed in 1984, a limited edition. About 4 by 6 inches. In overall excellent vintage condition save the top left corner tip is creased. Notice that, like Patrick Hamm*, this card was published by Les 100 amis [friends] de Cartes Postales et Collections.
Jean Boccacino has a studio in Angers, France. Because of the language barrier, there's a lot I don't know about this artist but I can tell you that his art style changed 180 degrees in the late 1980s. I prefer his art circa 1973-1988 and I hope to be sharing more of those postcards in the future. He is an artist who works in mixed media and is also a professional photographer.
