This French advertising postcard is in overall near mint, unused condition. Any blemishes are inherent to the printing. Like the light "smudge" shadow you see at the top center -- that's a very light bleed through of the advertiser's name. It would take a lot more to detract from this charming Art Nouveau image of a magical lady with butterfly wings who has stopped to smell the flowers!
This card is one in a 4-card series produced by Phoscao, a French company that produced a chocolate drink. Typical antique postcard size: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches. Circa 1904-1914.
In the last photo you'll see all four cards available. I have two full sets and am offering one complete set and others individually. I can't figure out a theme. There are birds, bats and butterflies, but no creatures with the lady in violet. The seasons, perhaps? Whatever, each one is lovely in her own way. Buy one or more or get the complete series.

Trivia: This postcard is one of about 50 I bought from a dealer at a flea market in Antibes, France, this past spring. The French Riviera is not all sun and sand. The "Siberian Express" brought snow to the area for the first time in 15 years. The morning of this flea market my fingers were chilled to the bone and numb digging through a mish-mash of postcards in shoe boxes!
